March Matters

Hello subscriber,

Welcome to Paul, our new chef

The Tally Ho's got a new chef! He's Paul Howard and you can read all about him in this news item on our website.

Radio Devon

The Tally got a very extensive mention on Radio Devon recently when Victoria Graham interviewed Ali Taylor about community pubs, in a piece on what locals are doing to boost trade. You can listen to the full interview on our website's press cuttings page.

Race Night postponed by The Beast

Last night's Horse Racing at the Tally has been postponed - the Beast from the East made local roads too dangerous. But don't worry, it's been rescheduled for next Wednesday 7th March. All money raised will go to the Tally's Kitchen Roof Fund (£7,000 is needed in total).

Sadly the first weekend of March is your last chance to tour world cuisine with a visit to Belgium. But never mind – there’s Singing for Fun to round off the weekend, Mothers Day on the following Sunday and a good laugh awaits at Quiz Night on Wednesday 21st. Don't forget to put your clocks back on Palm Sunday, the 25th March, to bring on lighter evenings.

Dates for your diary:

Thursday 1st March is Curry Night.

Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd March is Belgian food weekend.

Sunday 4th March is Singing for Fun.

Wednesday 7th March is An Evening of Horse Racing.

Sunday 11th March is Mothers' Day.

Wednesday 21st March is the third Wednesday of the month so it's Quiz Night. This month the quiz will be in aid of the Tally's Kitchen Roof Fund.

Friday 30th March is Good Friday with some lovely Easter and Spring specials on the menu.

Sunday 1st April: Easter Sunday lunch - we will be serving our usual delicious roasts and vegetarian options followed by our famous dessert trolley. Booking advisable.

Cheers,

Littlehempston Community Pub Ltd.
