Tally Ho, Littlehempston's Community Pub - new logo

October Offerings

Hello subscriber,

Lots of good things to tell you this month!

We’re proud to announce that CAMRA’s recently published Good Beer Guide 2018 includes the Tally Ho for the third year running - more details on our website.

An unannounced visit by the Environmental Health Inspector resulted in the awarding of a 5 star hygiene rating for the Tally's food management system, cleanliness and storage. Congratulations to managers Kim and Ian, chef Steve and all the other staff. This is exactly what we wanted to achieve when we closed the kitchen for several weeks last autumn, and invested a substantial amount in the refurbishment.

We're planning to launch a new menu on Tuesday 3rd October - keep an eye on the Main menu page of our website.

Other news is we've now got Guinness on tap, and every Thursday is now Sausage and Mash night - up to ten different locally sourced sausages including vegetarian varieties. Don't like sausages? The normal menu is also available.

An Evening at Café René

There's a special evening coming up on Saturday 7th October when the Tally teams up with Littlehempston Community Space to provide an evening of good food and theatre. Action kicks off in the Bistro Tally Ho, with a sumptuous French main course. Then the audience flees to the safety of Café René in Littlehempston Church next door, to enjoy dessert and hilarious theatre with The Moonstone Theatre Company. This is something not to be missed by fans of the classic TV comedy 'Allo 'Allo. Booking details on our website.

Dates for your October diary:

Sunday 1st October is the first Sunday of the month. As usual we'll be Singing for Fun from 8pm - everyone welcome!

Tuesday 3rd October ‘Join the band’ session with the Amber Fire Ceilidh Band.

Thursday 5th October (and every Thursday) is Sausage and Mash Night.

Saturday 7th October An evening at Café René

Tuesday 17th October is the third Tuesday of the month so it's Quiz Night. This month the quiz will be in aid of new bell ropes for Littlehempston Church.

Tuesday 31st October is the last Tuesday of the month so - Live Gypsy Jazz with Chez La Vie.

Ways of Helping

The hanging baskets at the Tally are due for their winter plants, if anybody has the time or plants to help us fill them. Any help would be appreciated - perhaps any leftovers from doing your own, or even taking one away and filling it would be really helpful.

A number of supporters are giving produce from their gardens to the kitchen – apples, beans, courgettes. Keep it coming and many thanks for all of this.

Christmas is coming...

We're taking bookings for Christmas lunches, dinners, parties and celebrations throughout December - click here to see the menu. Pre-order essential - contact the Tally (see below).

Cheers,

Littlehempston Community Pub Ltd.
