Jovial July

Hello subscriber,

We had some beautiful weather in June - and we should get some more in July. It's a great time of year to enjoy a refreshing drink and a delicious meal in the Tally Ho's garden.

July's looking very busy at the Tally:

Sunday 2nd July is the first Sunday of the month. As usual we'll be Singing for Fun from 8pm - everyone welcome!

Tuesday 4th July: come and enjoy an evening of Delta Blues with Stuart Cumberpatch and friends, and it's Curry night!

Thursday 6th July will be our third Tap Takeover and Meet the Brewer evening - this time with Bays Brewery.

Tuesday 11th July: the Raddon Hill Clog Morris team will be dancing outside the Tally.

Thursday 13th July: the Newton Bushel and Black Bess Border morris teams will be dancing outside the Tally.

Tuesday 18th July is the third Tuesday of the month so it's Quiz Night (and Curry night). This month the quiz will be in aid of of Littlehempston Church and Community Space.

Thursday 20th July will be our fourth Tap Takeover and Meet the Brewer evening - this time with the Riviera Brewing Company.

Sunday 23rd July: steam train The Royal Duchy goes past the Tally Ho.

Tuesday 25th July is the last Tuesday of the month so - Live Gypsy Jazz with Chez La Vie, and Curry night.

And another reminder, the annual Tally Ho Beer and Cider Festival will be on the 11th, 12th and 13th August, starting in the evening of Friday 11th and with lots of local bands playing on the Saturday and Sunday.

TripAdvisor says the Tally is excellent!

We heard in June that TripAdvisor had awarded the Tally Ho its 2017 Certificate of Excellence. Thank you to everyone who's helped by taking the trouble to write a nice review!

Gardening Know How Needed

The pots and hanging baskets at the Tally are beautiful though the borders are rather overgrown. Running a pub doesn’t leave many spare hours for gardening, and volunteers with regular spare time and good backs are not easy to find. So we are looking to plant low maintenance shrubs that look good all year round – after clearing brambles and bindweed from the borders. This has been done a few times already, but they have a habit of coming back again and again. If you have any knowledge and ideas, please do get in touch!

Cheers,

Littlehempston Community Pub Ltd.
