Delicious December

Hello subscriber,

Happy Christmas Everyone!

Christmas should be all about spending time together and enjoying the festivities. The Tally has been up and running for Christmas festivities for a couple of weeks now and many of you are taking advantage of this. With the wonderful new kitchen gleaming around them Marc and Rachel are producing delicious meals once more, with a newly laid non-slip floor. Huge thanks to Anna, our Property Manager, for organising all of this so well, with so little fuss, as well as instigating the recent garden improvements.

The Tally

The kitchen refurbishment is complete and has certainly made a big difference. The work took a little longer than planned but it has been well worth the wait. The floors have been covered with non-slip flooring and all the walls and ceilings clad with hygienic one piece coverings. Overall the Kitchen is a lot brighter, safer and hygienically clean meeting all environmental health standards, and above all a very pleasant place to work in which will make all kitchen operations easier, safer, faster and more efficient.

We have a brand new fridge in the pristine kitchen, so there’s plenty of room for all the food. Unfortunately the combi oven refused to work when it was put back after its spell outside under a tarpaulin and is in the process of being mended/replaced.

The Tally was up for yet another award!

The Tally Ho and Littlehempston Community Pub Limited was one of three finalists in the South West of England category of the Community Ownership Awards 2016! Unfortunately we didn’t come first, but Mike and Ali enjoyed the experience up at the Award Ceremony - and joint 2nd is pretty good.

Fame at Last

Martin, Mike and Sandra have now enjoyed meeting up with two different groups of people hoping to buy their local pub as a community asset. The Plunkett Foundation has hosted these meetings at the Tally and the groups have appreciated hearing about our journey and enjoyed their meal and tour of the Tally. Another hosting is on the cards! Community pubs are on the increase.

Cheers,

Littlehempston Community Pub Ltd.
