November Niceties

Hello subscriber,

Tally Ho Kitchen Refurbishment

Kitchens don’t last forever and we are giving ours some tender loving care with a full refurbishment from floor to ceiling. From Tuesday 8th to Friday 25th November 2016, the Tally Ho kitchen will say goodbye (for eighteen days) and we will unfortunately not be serving any hot food. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We look forward to reopening our kitchen doors and welcoming you back with open arms!

Why not book a table for our reopening weekend? On Saturday 26th November our full menu will be available, and on Sunday 27th November we’ll be serving our legendary Sunday Roast Lunches. Booking is essential.

The bar will still be open at the usual times, serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We will also have a range of filled rolls, sandwiches and other cold snacks available.

During the kitchen closure we'll be holding winter BBQ and pizza delivery evenings – see the notice boards in the Tally and keep an eye on our website for further information.

So please don’t be put off coming to the Tally whilst the kitchen refurbishment is under way. The atmosphere and company will still be as good as usual!

Hell's Bells...

...is a short film about the dark side of morris dancing which was partly shot at the Tally Ho. Here's a an article about the premier of Hell's Bells in the Mid-Devon Advertiser. It's being shown for the first time at the Exeter Phoenix on Friday 2nd December.

Shortlisted for Rural Community Ownership Awards

Mike Thomas and Ali Taylor have put together an entry for the Rural Community Ownership Award being given by the Plunkett Foundation, who were immensely helpful when we were planning to buy the Tally.

And guess what! We have reached the final 3 for the South West. Two of the committee have been invited to the Rural Community Ownership Awards Ceremony on Monday 28 November at the Millbank Tower in London. More fame for the Tally Ho! We’ll let you know as soon as the results are announced, but we all feel immensely proud to have come this far.

Christmas is coming...

We're taking bookings for Christmas lunches, dinners, parties and celebrations throughout December. Pre-order essential - have a look at our Christmas menu.
