Tally Ho, Littlehempston's Community Pub - new logo

Nearly New Year...

Hello subscriber,

Festive greetings to everyone! Need a break from all that present wrapping, tree dressing, spud peeling and cake icing? Here's what's going on at Littlehempston's Community Pub over Christmas and New Year:

Christmas at the Tally

The Tally Ho will be open on Christmas Eve (normal weekday hours), Christmas Day (11am - 1pm for bar drinks only) and Boxing Day (11am - 4pm, food served 12pm - 4pm). More details on our website including the Christmas menu.

New Year's Eve

Enjoy a right knees-up with a happy hour bar, hot buffet, music and dancing. Dress to impress if you wish! 6pm till sometime next year! Tickets £10 per person.

New Year's Day

The Tally will be open 11am - 4pm serving our full lunch menu plus roast specials from 12pm - 4pm. Pub closed in the evening.

Events coming up

Sunday 3rd January is the first Sunday of the month so as usual we'll be Singing for Fun from 8pm - everyone welcome! Hugh Edwards and friends, who normally help these sessions along, won't be able to make it this month - but Jan Lobb, Liz Jeffery and Sarah Willmer (collectively known as JLS) will be stepping into Hugh's shoes.

Sunday 24th January: Amazing touring puppet troupe PuppetCraft are bringing their show Monkey to Littlehempston's Community Space - that's St John’s Church which has been cleverly adapted so that it can be used for much more than just Church services. More details on the Tally Ho website. The show starts at 4pm, so why not drop into the the Tally before or after Monkey?

Tuesday 26th January: Acoustic gypsy jazz group Chez La Vie will be playing live again around 8pm. Their Tally Ho Tuesday's have proved very popular this year, so we're hoping this will become a regular event in 2016. Chez La Vie have also been booked for the Littlehempston Fete next summer. Join us for dinner or a drink and enjoy their relaxing music.

Job Vacancies

We still need a cleaner and kitchen staff. If you'd like a job, or know anyone who would, then please contact Hollie or Chris on 01803 862316 for details.

We're also still offering opportunities for volunteers. If you fancy trying your hand behind the bar or serving food, and discovering that at least half of what you have to do is simply smile and chat to people, then you're welcome to join our existing group of volunteers. Just get in touch with us (see below) - you'll be taught the basics, and be working alongside the professionals!

Cheers,

Littlehempston Community Pub Ltd.
