60009 Union of South AfricaThe Royal Duchy was a named train in the 1950’s. It will be drawn by 60009 “Union of South Africa”, an LNER Class A4 steam locomotive built in Doncaster in 1937.

The Royal Duchy should be passing the Tally Ho southwards (towards Totnes and Plymouth) at about 12.10pm and returning at about 7.40pm.
