Steam train The Royal Duchy goes past the Tally

34046 BrauntonThe Royal Duchy was a named train in the 1950’s. It will be drawn by 34046 ‘Braunton’. Braunton is a ‘Bulleid Pacific’ design express passenger engine, a member of the ‘West Country’ Class, built in 1946 at Brighton Works, and has currently been renamed as 34052 ‘Lord Dowding’ to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The Royal Duchy should be passing the Tally Ho southwards (towards Totnes and Plymouth) at about midday and returning at about 7.30pm.
